Sukta 10
वशा माता राजन्यऽस्य वशा माता स्वधे तव । वशाया यज्ञ आयुधं ततश्चित्तमजायत
vaśā́ mātā́ rā́janyàsyá vaśā́ mātā́ svadhé táva | vaśā́yā yájña ā́yudham tátas cittám ajāyata ||
Vasā is mother of the royal man; Vasā is mother of thee, O Svadhā. From Vasā the sacrifice is a weapon; from her, moreover, thought (and purpose) was born.
वशा राजन्य पुरुष की माता है; हे स्वधा, वशा तेरी भी माता है। वशा से यज्ञ का आयुध (शक्ति-उपकरण) उत्पन्न हुआ; और उसी से चित्त—विचार व संकल्प—भी जन्मा।
