Sukta 30
दीर्घायुःप्राप्तिः। विश्वे देवा वसवो रक्षतेममुतादित्या जागृत यूयमस्मिन्। मेमं सनाभिरुत वान्यनाभिर्मेमं प्रापत् पौरुषेयो वधो यः
víśve devā́ vásavo rákṣatémám utā́dityā jāgr̥tá yūyám asmín | mā́ imáṃ sanā́bhir utá vā́ ’nyanā́bhir mā́ imáṃ prā́pat pauruṣéyo vadhó yáḥ ||
All ye Gods, ye Vasus, guard ye this man; and ye Ādityas, wakeful be ye over him. Let not the slaughter wrought by man overtake him—neither by one of the self-same womb, nor yet by one of alien womb.
दीर्घायु-प्राप्ति। हे विश्वदेवगण, हे वसु, इस पुरुष की रक्षा करो; और हे आदित्यगण, तुम इसके ऊपर जाग्रत रहो। मनुष्य द्वारा किया गया जो वध है, वह इसे न आ घेरें—न तो समान गर्भ (सगोत्र/सह-उदर) वाले से, न ही भिन्न गर्भ (पर-उदर) वाले से।
