यायादरिं व्यसनिनं निष्फले दूतचेष्टिते प्रकृतव्यसनं यत्स्यात्तत् समीक्ष्य समुत्पतेत्

यदि शत्रु व्यसनग्रस्त हो और दूत का प्रयत्न निष्फल हो जाए, तो स्थिति से कौन-सा नया संकट उत्पन्न हो सकता है—यह विचार कर वह शीघ्र ही लौट/प्रस्थान कर जाए।
