It teaches dīkṣā-sthāna-śuddhi: purifying the initiation area by sprinkling with a cow-derived purifier while reciting the prescribed mantra, followed by Śiva worship according to tantric rule.
Beyond mythology, the Agni Purana documents applied ritual technology—site purification, mantra-governed procedure, and tantra-based authorization—showing it functions as a practical manual of worship and initiation.
Ritual cleansing of the dīkṣā space and rule-based Śiva worship are presented as prerequisites for a pure, effective initiation, aligning the act with dharma and enhancing the sanctity and efficacy of the rite.
