धर्मं वै परमामृतमिति ख , छ च वर्णधर्ंअः स विज्ञ्येयो यथोपनयनन्त्रिषु यस्त्वाश्रमं समाश्रित्य पदार्थः संविधीयते

dharmaṃ vai paramāmṛtamiti kha , cha ca varṇadharṃaḥ sa vijñyeyo yathopanayanantriṣu yastvāśramaṃ samāśritya padārthaḥ saṃvidhīyate

‘धर्म ही परम अमृत है’—ऐसा कहा गया है। वर्णधर्म को उपनयन-तंत्रों में जैसा बताया गया है वैसा समझना चाहिए। और जिसने जिस आश्रम का आश्रय लिया है, उसके लिए जो-जो नियम-विधान ठहराए गए हैं, वही उसका आश्रमधर्म है, जिसका यथावत् अनुष्ठान करना चाहिए।
