FAQs

It supplies a sequence of Devi-epithets intended for mantra-style recitation (nāma-japa/stuti), where the Goddess is invoked as cosmic functions (Speech, Prosperity, Vāstu-order) and as specific fierce/auspicious forms (Vāmā, Jyeṣṭhā, Raudrī, Kālī).

By compressing multiple domains into devotion—speech (śabda/vaidika utterance), prosperity (śrī), teacher-principle (guru), and spatial/architectural order (vāstu)—the text links ritual theology with practical cultural sciences and named tantric-Devī traditions.

Reciting these names is presented as invoking Shakti in both gentle and fierce aspects, supporting purification of speech and intention, removal of obstacles, and the gaining of auspiciousness and protection through Devi-smarana (remembrance).
