varṇānāṃ brāhmaṇo yadvattathā tīrtheṣu saṃgamaḥ | sarayūghargharāyoge vaiṣṇavastho naraḥ sadā
Brahmā (deduced: Vaiṣṇavakhaṇḍa discourse style)
Tirtha: Sarayū–Ghargharā Saṅgama
Type: sangam
Listener: null
Scene: Two rivers meet; above the waters a subtle Viṣṇu aura is suggested; pilgrims perform ācamana and offer flowers; the text’s analogy is visualized by placing a dignified brāhmaṇa figure as emblem of ‘foremost’.
The confluence is exalted as the highest class of tīrtha, naturally orienting the pilgrim toward Vaiṣṇava devotion.
The Sarayū–Ghargharā Saṅgama.
No single rite is commanded here; it primarily ranks the Saṅgama as supreme and frames the pilgrim’s devotional disposition.
