श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । प्रह्लादं सर्वधर्मज्ञं वेदशास्त्रार्थपारगम् । वैष्णवागमतत्त्वज्ञं भगवद्भक्तितत्परम्

શ્રી માર્કંડેયે કહ્યું—હું પ્રહ્લાદનું વર્ણન કરું છું; તે સર્વધર્મજ્ઞ, વેદ-શાસ્ત્રના અર્થનો પારગામી, વૈષ્ણવ આગમના તત્ત્વનો જાણકાર અને ભગવદ્ભક્તિમાં સંપૂર્ણ તત્પર છે.
