त्वं वेत्सि शंकरेणैतत्कर्मजालं न विंदितम् । त्रैलोक्येऽपि मयाऽप्यस्ति गूढं तत्स्यात्कथं विधे । यत्किञ्चित्त्रिषु लोकेषु जंगमं स्थावरं तथा । तस्याहं मध्यगो मूढ तैलं यद्वत्तिलांतगम्
tvaṃ vetsi śaṃkareṇaitatkarmajālaṃ na viṃditam | trailokye'pi mayā'pyasti gūḍhaṃ tatsyātkathaṃ vidhe | yatkiñcittriṣu lokeṣu jaṃgamaṃ sthāvaraṃ tathā | tasyāhaṃ madhyago mūḍha tailaṃ yadvattilāṃtagam
તું માને છે કે તું જાણે છે; પરંતુ આ કર્મજાળ શંકરે પણ જાણ્યું નથી. ત્રૈલોક્યમાં મારી પાસે પણ કંઈક ગૂઢ રહે છે; તો પછી, હે વિધાતા, બધું કેવી રીતે જાણી શકાય? ત્રણ લોકમાં જે કંઈ જંગમ અને સ્થાવર છે, તેના મધ્યમાં હું સ્થિત છું—જેમ તલમાં છુપાયેલું તેલ, હે મૂઢ!
