दंडस्तत्राभवद्वास्तौ गृहरोधोऽक्षदेवने । एको दोषाकरश्चंद्रः प्रियदोषाश्च कौशिकाः
daṃḍastatrābhavadvāstau gṛharodho'kṣadevane | eko doṣākaraścaṃdraḥ priyadoṣāśca kauśikāḥ
ત્યાં ‘દોષ’ તો માત્ર નામરૂપે—ઘરમાં દંડ માત્ર વસ્તુ; ‘ગૃહરોધ’ ફક્ત પાસાની રમતમાં; રાત્રિ કરનાર એકલો ચંદ્ર; અને રાત્રિપ્રિય તો ઘુવડ જ।
