kṣaṇaiḥ ṣaṣṭyā palaṃ proktaṃ ṣaṣṭyā teṣāṃ ca nāḍikā | nāḍikādvitayenaiva muhūrtaṃ parikīrtitam
સાઠ ક્ષણને ‘પલ’ કહે છે; અને એવા સાઠ પલથી એક ‘નાડિકા’ બને છે. બે નાડિકાથી જ ‘મુહૂર્ત’ નિર્ધારિત થાય છે.
