अहमासं पुरा कन्या पुरे कुसुमसंज्ञिते । वीरसेनस्य शूद्रस्य वणिक्पुत्रस्य धीमतः । तेन दत्ताऽस्मि धर्मेण विवाहार्थं महात्मना
ahamāsaṃ purā kanyā pure kusumasaṃjñite | vīrasenasya śūdrasya vaṇikputrasya dhīmataḥ | tena dattā'smi dharmeṇa vivāhārthaṃ mahātmanā
પૂર્વે હું ‘કુસુમ’ નામના નગરમાં એક કન્યા હતી. ત્યાં વણિક્-કુલમાં જન્મેલો અને શૂદ્રસ્થિતિવાળો બુદ્ધિમાન વીરસેનને, તે મહાત્માએ ધર્માનુસાર વિવાહાર્થે મને અર્પણ કરી હતી.
