शेषाः सर्वे गतिभ्रंशं प्राप्य भूमार्गमाश्रिताः । अथ ते स्वाश्रमं दृष्ट्वा विकृताकारभूषणम् । किमिदंकिमिदं प्रोचुर्यत्तापस्यो विडंबिताः
śeṣāḥ sarve gatibhraṃśaṃ prāpya bhūmārgamāśritāḥ | atha te svāśramaṃ dṛṣṭvā vikṛtākārabhūṣaṇam | kimidaṃkimidaṃ procuryattāpasyo viḍaṃbitāḥ
બાકીના સૌ પોતાની પૂર્વ ગતિ ગુમાવી ભૂમિમાર્ગે ચાલ્યા. પછી પોતાનો આશ્રમ અજીબ રીતે બદલાયેલો અને વિકૃત ‘ભૂષણોથી’ સજેલો જોઈ તેઓ વારંવાર બોલ્યા—“આ શું છે, આ શું છે?”, કારણ કે તાપસી સ્ત્રીઓનું ઉપહાસ થયું હતું.
