ततस्तथैव संतस्थौ बर्बरीकोऽभिरक्षणे । ततश्चतुर्थे यामे च प्राप्तः क्षपणकोऽद्भुतः
tatastathaiva saṃtasthau barbarīko'bhirakṣaṇe | tataścaturthe yāme ca prāptaḥ kṣapaṇako'dbhutaḥ
ત્યારે બર્બરીક પૂર્વવત્ રક્ષણમાં ત્યાં જ સ્થિર રહ્યો. પછી રાત્રિના ચોથા પ્રહરે એક અદ્ભુત ક્ષપણક તપસ્વી ત્યાં આવી પહોંચ્યો.
