द्विजायार्थं प्रतिश्रुत्य न प्रयच्छति यः पुनः । न च चस्मारयते विप्रं तुल्यं तदुपपपातकम्
dvijāyārthaṃ pratiśrutya na prayacchati yaḥ punaḥ | na ca casmārayate vipraṃ tulyaṃ tadupapapātakam
દ્વિજ (બ્રાહ્મણ) માટે કંઈક આપવાનો વચન આપી પછી ન આપવું, અને તે વિપ્રને સ્મરણ કરાવીને પણ પાલન ન કરવું—તે સમાન પ્રકારનું ઉપપાતક (ગંભીર ગૌણ પાપ) ગણાયું છે.
