नारद उवाच । एवं विप्रकृता देवा महेंद्रसहितास्तदा । ययुः स्वायंभुवं दाम मर्करूपमुपाश्रिताः
nārada uvāca | evaṃ viprakṛtā devā maheṃdrasahitāstadā | yayuḥ svāyaṃbhuvaṃ dāma markarūpamupāśritāḥ
નારદ બોલ્યા—આ રીતે પીડિત અને અપમાનિત દેવગણ, મહેન્દ્ર સહિત, ત્યારે સ્વયંભૂ પ્રભુના ધામે ગયા, મર્કટરૂપ ધારણ કરીને (છદ્મવેશે)।
