nirutsāhaṃ raṇe tasmingatayuddhotsavo'bhavat | tato bhramata evāsya carma utkṛttya bhairavam
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the sages
Scene: The demon’s will breaks; still spinning, he is flayed—Bhairava’s blade flashes, separating the elephant-hide in a single decisive motion; the moment is both horrific and numinous, revealing divine inevitability.
When arrogance is drained, divine justice completes the restoration of dharma; Bhairava represents swift, uncompromising protection.
