ગૌતમ ગોરજ (ગાયની ધૂળ)થી બનેલા લિંગની પૂજા કરે છે; તેનું નામ ‘ગોપતિ’—ગાયોનો સ્વામી—છે. વાનપ્રસ્થો ફળમય લિંગની પૂજા કરે છે; તે ‘વૃક્ષાવૃત’—વૃક્ષોથી આવૃત—નામે ઓળખાય છે.
