कूर्म उवाच । श्रृणु भूप कथां दिव्यां श्रवणात्पापनाशिनीम् । कथां सुमधुरामेतां शिवमाहात्म्यसंयुताम्
kūrma uvāca | śrṛṇu bhūpa kathāṃ divyāṃ śravaṇātpāpanāśinīm | kathāṃ sumadhurāmetāṃ śivamāhātmyasaṃyutām
કૂર્મ બોલ્યો—હે રાજા, આ દિવ્ય કથા સાંભળો; તેના શ્રવણમાત્રથી પાપો નાશ પામે છે. આ કથા અતિ મધુર છે અને શિવમાહાત્મ્યથી યુક્ત છે।
