उग्रश्रवा उवाच । श्रृणुध्वचत्यद्भुतपुण्यसत्कथं कुमारनाथस्य महाप्रभावम् । द्वैपायनो यन्मम चाह पूर्वं हर्षाबुरोमोद्गमचर्चितांगः
ugraśravā uvāca | śrṛṇudhvacatyadbhutapuṇyasatkathaṃ kumāranāthasya mahāprabhāvam | dvaipāyano yanmama cāha pūrvaṃ harṣāburomodgamacarcitāṃgaḥ
ઉગ્રશ્રવા (સૂત) બોલ્યા—કુમારનાથના મહાપ્રભાવની આ અદ્ભુત, પુણ્યમય અને સત્કથા સાંભળો. અગાઉ દ્વૈપાયન (વ્યાસ) એ મને આ કહેલી; ત્યારે મારું અંગ-અંગ હર્ષના રોમાંચથી ચિહ્નિત હતું।
