स्कंद उवाच । कृतानुज्ञा जनेत्रा सा क्षेत्रे परमपावने । तपस्तताप परमं यदसाध्यं तपस्विभिः
skaṃda uvāca | kṛtānujñā janetrā sā kṣetre paramapāvane | tapastatāpa paramaṃ yadasādhyaṃ tapasvibhiḥ
સ્કંદે કહ્યું—માતાની અનુમતિ મેળવી તે કન્યાએ આ પરમપાવન ક્ષેત્રમાં પરમ તપ આચર્યું; એવું તપ જે સિદ્ધ તપસ્વીઓ માટે પણ દુષ્કર છે.
