kṣetrapūrvottarebhāge taddṛṣṭaṃ paśupāśahṛt | tatpaścādvigrahavatī pūjyā vārāṇasī naraiḥ

ક્ષેત્રના ઈશાન (ઉત્તર-પૂર્વ) ભાગમાં ‘પશુપાશહૃત્’ નામનું પાવન દર્શન છે, જે જીવોના બંધન હરે છે. ત્યાર પછી ‘વિગ્રહવતી’ દેવી પૂજ્ય છે; આ રીતે વારાણસીની પૂજા કરવી જોઈએ.
