ततः शिवस्तं तपसातिखिन्नं निवार्य ताभ्यः प्रणतिभ्य ईश्वरः । वरान्ददौ सप्ततुरंगसूनवे त्वं धर्मराजो भव नामतोपि
tataḥ śivastaṃ tapasātikhinnaṃ nivārya tābhyaḥ praṇatibhya īśvaraḥ | varāndadau saptaturaṃgasūnave tvaṃ dharmarājo bhava nāmatopi
પછી ઈશ્વર શિવે તપસ્યાથી અત્યંત થાકેલા તેને રોકી, તે પ્રણામોથી પ્રસન્ન થઈ, સપ્તતુરંગ (સૂર્ય)ના પુત્રને વર આપ્યા—“તું ધર્મરાજ બન; નામથી પણ એ જ થા.”
