मधुस्रवेति प्रथममेषा पुष्करिणी स्मृता । कृतकृत्या ततो ज्ञेया ततोऽसौ क्षीरनीरधिः
madhusraveti prathamameṣā puṣkariṇī smṛtā | kṛtakṛtyā tato jñeyā tato'sau kṣīranīradhiḥ
આ પવિત્ર પુષ્કરિણી પ્રથમ ‘મધુસ્રવા’ (મધુ વહેતી) તરીકે સ્મરાય છે. પછી તેને ‘કૃતકૃત્યા’ (સર્વ પ્રયોજન સિદ્ધ કરનારી) તરીકે જાણવી. ત્યારબાદ તે ‘ક્ષીરનીરધિ’—દૂધ સમાન જળનો સમુદ્રસદૃશ કુંડ—એવું કહેવાય છે।
