Transliteration

īśvara uvāca | śṛṇuṣvaikamanā bhūtvā yathā gaṅgāvatāritā | devaiḥ sarvairmahābhāgā sarvalokahitāya vai

ઈશ્વરે કહ્યું—એકાગ્ર મનથી સાંભળો કે ગંગાનું અવતરણ કેવી રીતે થયું. તે મહાભાગ્યા સર્વ દેવો દ્વારા સર્વ લોકના હિત માટે અવતરાવવામાં આવી.
