श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । साधु साधु महाप्राज्ञ पृष्टः प्रश्नस्त्वयानघ । कथयामि यथापूर्वं श्रुतमेतन्महेश्वरात्

શ્રી માર્કંડેયે કહ્યું—સાધુ, સાધુ! હે મહાપ્રાજ્ઞ, હે અનઘ, તું યોગ્ય પ્રશ્ન પૂછ્યો છે. હું મહેશ્વર પાસેથી પૂર્વે જેમ સાંભળ્યું હતું તેમ જ કહું છું।
