मर्दयित्वा करौ पूर्वं विष्णुर्दैत्यजिघांसया । चक्रं जग्राह तत्रैव स्वेदाज्जाता सरिद्वरा
mardayitvā karau pūrvaṃ viṣṇurdaityajighāṃsayā | cakraṃ jagrāha tatraiva svedājjātā saridvarā
પ્રથમ બંને હથેળીઓ ઘસીને, દૈત્યોના સંહારની ઇચ્છાથી વિષ્ણુએ ત્યાં જ પોતાનું ચક્ર ગ્રહણ કર્યું; અને તેમના સ્વેદમાંથી તે શ્રેષ્ઠ નદી ઉત્પન્ન થઈ।
