āgatastvarito gehe pipāsārto narādhipa | śakaṭaṃ mocya taddvāri savṛṣaṃ rajjusaṃyutam
Mārkaṇḍeya
Tirtha: Revā (Narmadā)
Type: river
Listener: narādhipa (king)
Scene: A man rushes to his doorway, parched; he unyokes a cart while the bull remains tethered; the threshold becomes the stage for unseen tragedy behind him.
It underscores human vulnerability—thirst, haste, and fatigue—often preceding moral tests and life-altering outcomes.
No tīrtha is directly glorified in this verse.
None; this is narrative staging.
