Sthala Purana: Colophon verse marking the closure of the Viṣṇu–Jalandhara battle-description chapter within the Jalandharopākhyāna; not a specific Jyotirliṅga-māhātmya passage.
This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter; spiritually, it frames the battle narrative as part of Śiva’s overarching governance of cosmic order, reminding readers that even conflicts among devas and asuras unfold under Pati (Śiva), the supreme regulator.
Though the line itself is a chapter-ending title, it situates the story within the Rudra Saṃhitā, where Saguna Śiva’s līlā and sovereignty are emphasized; such narratives encourage Linga-bhakti by presenting Śiva as the ultimate refuge beyond all rival powers.
As a colophon it gives no direct rite, but the recommended takeaway in this section is steady Śiva-bhakti—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as supportive disciplines for inner steadiness amid life’s ‘battles’.
