Sūta Gosvāmin
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Sthala Purana: Not tied to a Jyotirliṅga; emphasizes nitya-arcana (daily worship) as a continuous sādhana rather than site-specific merit.
Significance: Models ‘sarvadina’ devotion: constancy in worship is portrayed as the primary pilgrimage—turning daily life into a vrata that attracts Śiva’s grace.
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
It presents Satī as the ideal devotee whose unwavering daily Śiva-arcana and firm vow (dṛḍha-vrata) exemplify single-pointed bhakti leading the soul toward Śiva’s grace.
Śivārcana here indicates formal devotional worship of Saguna Śiva (worshipful, approachable Lord), which in Purāṇic practice commonly includes Liṅga-pūjā as a primary form of Śiva-arcana.
The verse suggests nitya-pūjā (daily worship) and vrata-dhāraṇā (keeping a firm vow), supported by regular japa of Śiva-mantras such as the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as part of disciplined devotion.
