Consecration/Installation
tadā dṛṣṭvā ca gāṃgeyaṃ yayau pramuditaśśivaḥ | anyaissameto hariṇā brahmaṇā ca surarṣibhiḥ
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
The verse highlights Śiva’s compassionate, accessible Saguna aspect: the Supreme Pati is not distant, but responds with joy to divine purpose and dharma, affirming that grace and auspiciousness accompany righteous unfolding.
Śiva’s “going forth joyfully” emphasizes Saguna worship—approaching the Lord as a personal, responsive deity. In Linga-upāsanā, the devotee similarly approaches the visible symbol of the formless Reality, trusting Śiva’s gracious presence.
A practical takeaway is reverent approach (upacāra-bhāva): begin worship by mentally “going toward” Śiva with gladness, then offer water and bilva while repeating the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—as a steady japa.
