Lord Vishnu
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
The verse condemns falsehood and the denial of divine greatness, teaching that disrespect toward the Guru (Guru-nindā) is a grave spiritual fault that blocks bhakti and right understanding of Pati (the Lord).
In Śaiva practice, Saguna Shiva and the Linga are approached through disciplined devotion guided by the Guru; denying sacred glory and indulging in Guru-nindā undermines the very foundation of mantra, pūjā, and linga-upāsanā.
The implied practice is Guru-bhakti and truthful speech: maintain reverence to the spiritual preceptor, avoid nindā, and uphold steady japa and worship with humility (a prerequisite for effective mantra-sādhana such as the Pañcākṣarī).
