Sthala Purana: Colophon (iti) marking the chapter conclusion; no specific sthala narrative.
Significance: Textual closure used liturgically to mark pāṭha completion; hearing the colophon is traditionally treated as completion-merit (pāraṇa-bhāva).
This is a concluding colophon marking the completion of a chapter; it emphasizes that the narrative of Kārtikeya is presented as a vehicle to contemplate Śiva’s acts and the dispelling of aśiva (inauspiciousness) through devotion to Pati (Lord Śiva).
Though not a ritual instruction itself, the colophon situates the teaching within the Rudra Saṃhitā’s Saguna framework—where Śiva’s narrated līlās and grace are approached through story, praise, and worship (often centered on the Liṅga) to overcome inauspicious conditions.
No specific practice is prescribed in this closing line; the takeaway is to continue śravaṇa (devotional listening/reading) of Śiva-kathā—commonly paired in Shaiva practice with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and remembrance of Śiva as the remover of aśiva.
