विदा देवा अघानामादित्यासो अपाकृतिम् । पक्षा वयो यथोपरि व्यस्मे शर्म यच्छतानेहसो व ऊतयः सुतयो व ऊतयः ॥

Transliteration

vidā́ devā́ aghā́nām ādityāso apā́kṛtim | pakṣā́ váyo yáthopári vy àsmé śárma yacchatānéhaso va ūtáyaḥ su-ūtáyaḥ va ūtáyaḥ ||

Translation

હે દેવો, હે આદિત્યો! અઘ (હાનિ/પાપ) ના નિવારણને જાણીને દુષ્ટતાને દૂર ફેંકો. જેમ પક્ષીના માટે પાંખો ઉપર ઉડવા માટે હોય, તેમ અમારા માટે આશ્રયરૂપ શાંતિ વિસ્તારો. હે અચ્યુત (અનિષ્ફળ) દેવો! તમારી રક્ષાઓ—તમારી શુભ રક્ષાઓ—અમારા આશ્રય છે.
