अदब्धेभिः सवितः पायुभिष्ट्वं शिवेभिरद्य परि पाहि नो गयम् । हिरण्यजिह्वः सुविताय नव्यसे रक्षा माकिर्नो अघशंस ईशत ॥
adábdhebhiḥ savitaḥ pāyúbhiṣ ṭváṃ śivébhir adyá pári pāhi no gáyam | híraṇyajihvaḥ suvitā́ya návyase rákṣā mā́kir no aghaśáṃsa īśata ||
હે સવિતઃ, અદબ્ધ રક્ષકો અને શિવ (કલ્યાણકારી) રક્ષણોથી આજે તું અમારું ગય (જીવબળ/પ્રાણશક્તિ) ચારે તરફથી ઘેરીને રક્ષા કર. હે હિરણ્યજિહ્વ (સુવર્ણ-જીભવાળા), નવી અને સુવિત (પ્રકાશમય કલ્યાણ) માટે અમને બચાવ; કોઈ અઘશંસ (અપશકુન બોલનાર/દુષ્ટ ઇચ્છક) અમ પર અધિકાર ન મેળવે.
