वैश्वानर तव तानि व्रतानि महान्यग्ने नकिरा दधर्ष । यज्जायमानः पित्रोरुपस्थेऽविन्दः केतुं वयुनेष्वह्नाम् ॥
vaiśvānara táva tā́ni vratā́ni mahā́ny agne nákir ā́ dadharṣa | yáj jā́yamānaḥ pitór upásthe ’víndaḥ ketúṃ vayúneṣv áhnām ||
હે વૈશ્વાનર, હે અગ્નિ, તારા તે મહાન વ્રતો—વિધિઓ/નિયમો—એવા છે કે કોઈ પણ તેમને ભંગ કરી શકતું નથી. જ્યારે તું બે માતા-પિતાના ઉરસ્તળે જન્મે છે, ત્યારે દિવસોના સુવ્યવસ્થિત વ્યવહારો (વયુનેષુ)માં તું કેતુ—માર્ગદર્શક પ્રકાશ—ને શોધી લે છે.
