Sukta 5.7
इति चिन्मन्युमध्रिजस्त्वादातमा पशुं ददे । आदग्ने अपृणतोऽत्रिः सासह्याद्दस्यूनिषः सासह्यान्नॄन् ॥
íti cit manyúm adhríjas tvā́dātam ā́ paśúṃ dade | ā́d agne ápṛṇato ’tríḥ sāsahyā́d dásyūn íṣaḥ sāsahyā́n nṝ́n ||
આ રીતે તો અપ્રજ્વલિત (અથવા અવ્યવસ્થિત) પણ પોતાનો ક્રોધ છોડે છે અને તારા દ્વારા પ્રાપ્ત થયેલી પશુ-શક્તિ અર્પે છે. ત્યાર પછી, હે અગ્નિ, અત્રિ—દાનમાં અચૂક—દસ્યુઓને પરાજિત કરે; વૃદ્ધિના નિષો (પ્રેરણાઓ) જીતે; સત્ય પુરુષોને (દૃઢ આત્મબળોને) જીતે.
