Sukta 5.30
परो यत्त्वं परम आजनिष्ठाः परावति श्रुत्यं नाम बिभ्रत् । अतश्चिदिन्द्रादभयन्त देवा विश्वा अपो अजयद्दासपत्नीः ॥
paró yát tvaṁ paramá ā́janiṣṭhāḥ parāváti śrútyaṁ nā́ma bíbhrat | átaś cid índrād abhayanta devā́ víśvā apó ajayad dā́sa-patnīḥ ||
જ્યારે તું પરમ, પરાત્પર રૂપે જન્મ્યો—દૂરતમ પરાવતમાં ‘શ્રુત્ય’ (શ્રવણમાં આવતું) નામ ધારણ કરતો—ત્યારે દેવતાઓ પણ ઇન્દ્રથી ભય પામ્યા. ઇન્દ્રે દાસના બંધનમાં રહેલી સર્વ અપઃ (જળધારાઓ) જીત્યાં, દાસપત્ની બનેલી જળધારાઓને મુક્ત કરી.
