आ रोदसी अपृणा जायमान उत प्र रिक्था अध नु प्रयज्यो । दिवश्चिदग्ने महिना पृथिव्या वच्यन्तां ते वह्नयः सप्तजिह्वाः ॥

ā́ rodasī apṛṇā jā́yamāna utá prá rikthā ádha nú prayajyo | diváś cid agne mahinā́ pṛthivyā́ vacyántāṃ te váhnayaḥ saptájihvāḥ ||

જન્મ લેતાં તું બે લોક—રોદસી—ને ભરિ દીધાં; અને પછી તું વારસામાં આગળ વધ્યો—હવે યજ્ઞકર્મનો પ્રણેતા બની. હે અગ્નિ, દ્યૌ અને પૃથ્વીથી પણ પર તારી મહિમાથી, તારા વહ્નિ—સપ્તજિહ્વા વહનશક્તિઓ—ક્રિયામાં પ્રવર્તે એમ ઉચ્ચારિત થાઓ.
