आ ते कारो शृणवामा वचांसि ययाथ दूरादनसा रथेन । नि ते नंसै पीप्यानेव योषा मर्यायेव कन्या शश्वचै ते ॥
Transliteration
ā́ te kā́ro śṛṇavāmā́ vacā́ṃsi yayā́tha dūrā́d anasā́ ráthena | ní te naṃsai pīpyānā́ iva yóṣā maryā́ya iva kanyā́ śaśvacái te ||
Translation
હે (નદી) તારા પ્રતિઉત્તર-નાદ અને વચનો અમે સાંભળીએ; કારણ કે તું દૂરથી ગાડા અને રથ સાથે આવી છે. પ્રાણસમૃદ્ધ સ્ત્રી જેમ પ્રેમથી ઝૂકે, અને કન્યા જેમ વર તરફ—એમ તું અમારી તરફ વળી આવ; સદા અમારી તરફ જ રહેજે.
