Sukta 10.23
यो वाचा विवाचो मृध्रवाचः पुरू सहस्राशिवा जघान । तत्तदिदस्य पौंस्यं गृणीमसि पितेव यस्तविषीं वावृधे शवः ॥
yó vācā́ vivā́co mṛdhrávācaḥ purū́ sahásrāśivā jaghā́na | tát-tád íd asya páuṃsyaṃ gṛṇīmasi pitā́iva yás táviṣīṃ vāvṛdhé śávaḥ ||
જે વાણી વડે બહુજનને—વિકૃત વાણીવાળાં, હજાર હાનિકારક યુક્તિઓ ધરાવનારાં—પાતાળે પાડી દે છે; એ જ, એ જ તેની પૌંસ્યતા (પુરુષાર્થ) અમે ગાઈએ છીએ. પિતાની જેમ, જે પોતાના બળથી અમામાં તવીષી અને શવસ્ (શક્તિ) વધાર્યો છે.
