Sukta 10.12
अर्चामि वां वर्धायापो घृतस्नू द्यावाभूमी शृणुतं रोदसी मे । अहा यद्द्यावोऽसुनीतिमयन्मध्वा नो अत्र पितरा शिशीताम् ॥
arcā́mi vāṃ vardhā́yāpo ghṛtasnū́ dyā́vābhūmī śṛṇutáṃ rodasī me | ahā́ yád dyā́vo 'sú-nītim áyan mádhvā no átra pitarā́ śiśītām ||
હું તમારું સ્તવન કરું છું—તમારા વર્ધન માટે—હે ઘૃતસ્નૂ આપઃ (ઘૃત સમાન તેજ વહેતી જળશક્તિઓ), હે દ્યાવા-ભૂમી, હે રોદસી (બે લોક), મારી વાણી સાંભળો. જ્યારે પ્રકાશમય દ્યૌઃ પ્રાણની આગેવાની (અસુનીતિ) લાવે, ત્યારે અહીં બે પિતૃઓ અમારે માટે મધુરતા તીક્ષ્ણ કરે—અમારું આંતરિક હવ્ય પ્રબળ અને કાર્યકર બનાવે.
