अस्या देव्या यथा रूपमङ्गप्रत्यङ्गसौष्ठवम्।रामस्य च यथा रूपं तस्येयमसितेक्षणा।।।।
asyā devyā yathā rūpam aṅga-pratyaṅga-sauṣṭhavam |
rāmasya ca yathā rūpaṁ tasyeyam asitekṣaṇā ||
આ દેવીએ જેવું રૂપ—અંગ-પ્રત્યંગનું સુઘડ સૌષ્ઠવ—ધાર્યું છે, તેમ જ રામનું પણ રૂપ છે; આ અસિતેક્ષણા (કાળી આંખોવાળી) સીતાદેવી ખરેખર તેની યોગ્ય સમકક્ષ છે.
"She is that same lady for whom Rama has been passing through compassion, benevolence, grief and passion. He is compassionate considering her a woman, kind and benevolent since she is his dependent, stricken with grief for losing a wife and passionate since she is his beloved.
The verse supports the Ramayana’s ideal of harmonious household dharma: a partnership grounded in worthiness, mutual suitability, and rightful union (not merely attraction).
Hanumān, having found Sītā, confirms her identity and reflects on her fittingness as Rāma’s rightful wife.
Hanumān’s discernment and respect—he views Sītā with reverence as “devī” and frames her identity within dharma and rightful relationship.
