The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala

Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches a graded use of tarpaṇa offerings—flowers, ghee, and honey—each aligned with a specific spiritual-ritual aim: peace from disturbances, longevity, and auspicious prosperity, reflecting the Purana’s śānti-oriented ritual science.
While primarily ritual-technical, it supports bhakti by prescribing sattvic offerings that cultivate reverence and orderly worship; the devotee seeks divine grace for peace, long life, and auspiciousness through disciplined devotional acts.
It highlights prayoga (applied ritual procedure) used in śānti-karmas—selecting specific substances for specific results—typical of Vedanga-adjacent technical instruction (kalpa/prayoga orientation) found in Book 1.3.
