Mantra-Māhātmya and Sādhana of Kārtavīryārjuna
Nyāsa, Yantra, Homa, and Dīpa-Vrata
āyuḥ karī tathā prajñākarī vidyākarī punaḥ | dhanakaryaṣṭamī paścāllokeśā astrasaṃyutāḥ || 23 ||
Narada (in dialogue tradition with Sanatkumara lineage; verse states results in an instructional tone)
Vrata: Aṣṭamī-vrata (implied)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
The verse functions as a phala-śruti: it summarizes the tangible and dharmic fruits of specific tithi-based observances—longevity, discernment, learning, and wealth—showing how disciplined vrata-practice supports both worldly order and spiritual cultivation.
By praising the fruits of a sacred observance (like Aṣṭamī-vrata), it frames devotion as regular, vow-based worship aligned with the lunar calendar—where steady ritual discipline becomes an expression of bhakti that purifies intention and strengthens dharma.
It implicitly relies on Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa (Vedic calendrics/astronomy) through tithi observance (Aṣṭamī) and on ritual procedure (kalpa-style practice), emphasizing correct timing and disciplined performance as key to obtaining stated results.
