It shows that the Narada Purana also preserves Vedāṅga-Jyotiṣa style guidance—using precise graha and lagna placements—so a seeker can understand karmic patterns and apply dharma with clarity rather than confusion.
This verse is primarily technical (Jyotiṣa) rather than devotional instruction; indirectly, it supports bhakti by encouraging disciplined, informed living where one aligns actions with dharma and uses knowledge to reduce doubt and instability.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa (Vedic astrology): it specifies a yoga-like condition using sign placements (Makara/Capricorn, Karka/Cancer), exaltation (tuṅga), and ascendant (lagna) with multiple grahas occupying houses (bhava-upaga).
