अनुबंधेऽपवाहे चैकस्य चेदधिकोनकः । भागास्तलस्थहारेण हरं स्वांशाधिकेन तान् ॥ २३ ॥

Transliteration

anubaṃdhe'pavāhe caikasya cedadhikonakaḥ | bhāgāstalasthahāreṇa haraṃ svāṃśādhikena tān || 23 ||

Translation

ઉમેરા (અનુબંધ) અને ઘટાડા (અપવાહ)માં જો એક પદ વધુ કે ઓછું હોય, તો નીચે આવેલા હર લઈને ભાગો કાઢવા; પછી તે ભાગોને હરનાં પોતાના અંશથી વધારેલા હર વડે ભાગવા.
