Narada (teaching in a Purāṇic-summary style context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents a dhārmic principle of dāna (auspicious gifting) and Devī-upāsanā: pleasing Kātyāyinī through worthy offerings is said to bring household blessings—marriage for a maiden and progeny for a wife.
Bhakti here is expressed as sincere worship meant to “please” the deity (pratuṣṭi) through respectful offerings; the verse frames devotion as loving reverence that culminates in grace (desired boons).
Ritual application is emphasized (kalpa-style practice): selecting auspicious items (fine garments/ornaments) as offerings and performing Devī worship with a clear intention (saṅkalpa) for specific life-goals.
