मार्कण्डेय उवाच इत्युक्तो ब्रह्मणा सोऽपि तथेत्युक्त्वा महामतिः ।
तत्कर्माभिमुखो यातस्तपसो विरराम ह ॥
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ityukto brahmaṇā so 'pi tathetyuktvā mahāmatiḥ / tatkarmābhimukho yātas tapaso virarāma ha
માર્કંડેયે કહ્યું—બ્રહ્માએ આ રીતે કહ્યે ત્યારે તે મહામનાએ “એવમસ્તુ” કહી ઉત્તર આપ્યો; અને નિર્ધારિત કાર્ય તરફ વળી તેણે તપ વિરામમાં મૂક્યું।
