Adhyaya 59 — Cosmic Geography and Yuga-Order: Bhadrashva, Ketumala, and the Northern Kuru Region
vibhakto navadhā vipra! nakṣatrāṇāṃ trayaṃ trayam | diśas tathāpi navadhā vibhaktā munisattama ||

The cosmos is presented as patterned and classifiable; such ordering underwrites ritual timing (nakṣatras) and spatial orientation (directions), aligning human action with cosmic order.
Ancillary cosmology associated with sarga/pratisarga; it supplies the structural framework used by Purāṇic ritual and narrative geography.
Ninefold division can signify completeness (center plus eight directions), suggesting a mandalic worldview where space and time are integrated into a sacred grid.
